More than 85 iconic buildings around the world were illuminated blue to mark World Diabetes Day on November 14 2007, including the London Eye, the world’s biggest Ferris wheel, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Empire State Building in New York. UAE joined in as Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC) in Abu Dhabi, was lit up in blue to support the ‘UAE Unite for Diabetes’ campaign.
