All participants in the WALK UAE 2009 will receive a campaign T-Shirt, cap and water bottle coolie. |

Water - Drinking water will be available in easy-to-carry bottles which will be given free-of-charge to all registered walkers at the start line. Plus there will be water stations enroute. |
|
Medical facilities – There will be an ambulance on-site, however you are responsible for your own medical condition. If you are in any doubt about your fitness level, please consult your doctor before registering for WALK UAE 2009. |

Walkathon guides and ambassadors – A number of event guides wearing volunteer badges will be available to help support you throughout the five kilometre route and at both the start and finish lines. |

Make sure to bring comfortable, tried and tested walking shoes. |
|
Avoid wearing casual flip flops or high heel shoes. |
|
Keep yourself hydrated at all times by consuming plenty of water as you walk. |
|
Seek the help of the first walkathon guide you see if you feel tired, uneasy or unwell. |
|
Take plenty of rest the night before and make sure you do some light exercise to warm up those muscles before the walk. |
|
Bring your sunglasses and apply sun screen to protect your eyes and skin. |
|
If you are taking a medication that will be needed during the walkathon timings, please bring it with you and remember to stop and administer. |
|
Let’s all be environmental friendly; please do not litter along the route. |
