A community initiative to further Diabetes awareness and research

PLAY SPORTS! live healthily is part of a nation-wide initiative from the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC).

It is the fifth pillar supporting the award-winning public health awareness campaign, DIABETES.KNOWLEDGE.ACTION.

Our goal is to encourage a corporate-community football tournament geared to promoting the importance of an active lifestyle.

PLAY SPORTS! live healthily 2009 creates a unique opportunity for the UAE’s business community representing public and private sectors to work together in the fight against Diabetes.

More than 300 spectators are expected at each stage of the tournament, representing members of participating companies, sponsors, their families, football enthusiasts and well wishers.

HOW
The tournament will be held over five days during the Holy month of Ramadan 2009 with four days of league matches and a Final.
