The Emirates Foundation, which is a philanthropic organization created in 2005, is a unique model for developing, promoting and supporting partnership between public and private sector to create new opportunities for the people in the United Arab Emirates, and to increase their social understanding of vital community related issues. It represents a concrete base for both individuals and organizational initiatives to give back to their community.
The Emirates Foundation manages an endowment fund that is capitalized by public and private sectors and is led by individuals from both sectors that have a passionate interest in philanthropy. Through philanthropic projects within the Foundations’ four core areas of interest, the organization seeks to engage all individuals and groups in the UAE to usher in a new era of mutual achievement.

The four core areas are:  Education, Research & Development, Arts & Culture, and Social & Environmental Development.

In each of these core areas, the Foundation seeks the achievement of social balance and individual fulfillment, through transparent programs that reach out to people who need support. As a national initiative, the Foundation supports deserving projects throughout the UAE, across all communities. The Foundation seeks to act as the conscience of UAE society, by addressing real issues affecting people’s everyday lives.
